Brau Brothers Brewing and Global Distributing have teamed up with South Dakota retailers to kick off a homebrewing competition which will span the summer months. Bring your finest homebrew to any of these establishments on the date listed below to be judged by the Brau Brothers. Winners at each event will compete for a “Best of Show” at Sully’s on August 26.
Even if you’re not a homebrewer, stop in and sample Brau Beer and meet the Brau’s. Being new to South Dakota, we look forward to this opportunity to meet the beer drinking community and share some pints. This is a great opportunity to get your beer on tap at your local establishment. We’re looking forward to trying some great beers. Anyone can enter, regardless of where you’re from. All we ask is four bottles or one growler of your best brew.

Brau Brothers Brewing Co., Global Distributing and the Big Sioux Brewing Society in Sioux Falls, are co-sponsoring a homebrew contest.
The winner will get to brew their beer at Brau Bros’ Lucan, Minn., brewery and see it sold on draft at the six bar locations that are hosting the first rounds of the contest.
In the Sioux City area, first-round homebrew judging will be held at 5pm-ish June 9, at Raziel’s, 13 West Main, Vermillion, SD. Brau Brothers Brewing will be at the event to sample the company’s beers.
In addition to Raziel’s, first round contests will be held at bars in Brookings, Yankton, and three different bars in Sioux Falls.
