Plymouth County sheriff's deputies made two arrests after discovering a man was allegedly operating a meth lab in his recreational vehicle.
On Thursday, the sheriff's office received information that Michael John Kunkel, 41, was working at a hog confinement at 17511 County Highway K18. Kunkel was wanted on two warrants for possession of methamphetamine.
Deputies located Kunkel and Jason Allen Fiedler, 23, of Oyens, Iowa, in a 1971 Winnebago parked at the hog confinement. They were arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled substance. Bond was set at $50,000 each.
Members of the Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement Lab dismantled the lab. A Hazmat team from Lincoln, Neb., was called to dispose of the hazardous waste.
