Farm video available in Spanish
Posted: Thursday, July 07, 2005
A farm safety video created by Iowa State University Extension is now available in Spanish.
The hour-long video is a part of the agricultural equipment operators' safety series. It is available on video or DVD and contains seven segments providing information on the basic steps of safe operation of a tractor and other agricultural equipment.
"We have a lot of individuals requesting this material in Spanish and there is a need for diversity in our educational materials," said Chuck Schwab, professor in agricultural and biosystems engineering. "This widely used video supports the tractor certification program and adds another dimension to help train individuals."
To purchase the English or Spanish versions of the video, call Lisa Scarbrough at (515) 294-4972. The cost is $25, plus shipping. The video also may be checked out from the Woodbury County Extension office at 4301 Sergeant Road in Sioux City.
