Native American stereotypes addressed

Nancy Gillis, executive director of the Nebraska State Historical Society's John H. Neihardt Historic Site in Bancroft, Neb., will give a presentation on Native American stereotypes in the children's literature from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at Western Iowa Tech Community College.

The presentation is free and open to the public and will be in the Wells Fargo Room, Kiser Building, Sioux City campus. It is sponsored by Bacon Creek, Back Porch, a monthly forum for people interested in exploring the humanities.
