Presidents' Day

Observance:
North Middle School will celebrate Presidents' Day with a patriotic assembly at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
What's Open
Garbage collection: Garbage and recyclables will be collected Monday in Sioux City, South Sioux City and North Sioux City.
Sioux City's 28th Street Landfill will be open from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Sioux City Public Library: The Wilbur Aalfs Library will be open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, the Morningside Branch Library from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and the Perry Creek Branch Library from 1 to 7 p.m.
Sioux City Transit System: Buses will run from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday.

Woodbury County offices
Siouxland District Health Department, 1014 Nebraska St.
Sergeant Floyd Welcome Center and River Museum will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Woodbury County Extension Office, 4301 Sergeant Road, will be open from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday.
South Sioux City Public Library will be open from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday.
Sioux City Schools, Catholic Schools of Sioux City and South Sioux City Schools
Morningside College, St. Luke's College and Western Iowa Tech Community College.
Briar Cliff University: Administrative offices will be open Monday, but students will be on term break. The spring term will begin Feb. 27
What's Not
Federal government offices will be closed Monday in observance of the Presidents' Day holiday.
U.S. Post Office: Express mail will be delivered Monday in Sioux City and surrounding Iowa towns, but no other mail will be delivered. Post Office box mail will be sorted from 6 to 8:30 a.m. at the Main Post Office and from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Northside and Morningside stations. Caller service will be available from 7 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Main Post Office and the lobby of the Main Post office will be open from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. The bulk mail unit will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Sioux City City Hall will be closed Monday and the City Council will not meet.

Dakota County Courthouse at Dakota City. The Dakota County Board of Commissioners will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday instead of Monday.

North Sioux City City Hall will be closed Monday, but the City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.
