'Battle of Bulls' coming to Tyson Center

Posted: Thursday, January 04, 2007
The second annual "World's Toughest Battle of the Bulls" will be Jan. 19 and 20 at the Tyson Events Center. Show time will be at 8 p.m. both days.

The event is part of the $7 million Professional Bull Riders Enterprise Tour which is televised weekly.

"This event promises to be a huge success this year," said event producer Chris Woodruff of Group W Productions of Fort Worth, Texas.

The event will feature some of the top bull riders in the world who will be competing for more than $25,000 of prize money.

"We've put together some of the best bucking bulls in the country as seen on the Built Ford Tough Tour and we're bringing this award-winning production to Sioux City for two big nights," Woodruff said.

Described as the toughest sport on dirt, the Professional Bull Riding Tour combines the action of cowboys and bulls with a show that includes music and pyrotechnics.

The show will feature the world's newest bull-riding young guns alongside some of the sport's legendary cowboys as they try to make their mark while vying for positions in the Professional Bull Riding Built Ford Tough standings, the major leagues of bull riding.

Tickets for the show are on sale now at the Tyson Events Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, charge by phone at (712) 252-3434 or on line at www.ticketmaster.com.
