America losing its 'social, ethical and moral sanity'

ALTON, Iowa -- How coincidental. The same day that the liberals gain power, the ACLU runs a full-page ad in newspapers.

And apparently, they still believe that we're "spying" on innocent Americans. And they are still worried about how we treat imprisoned terrorists, who want to kill us and who torture, maim, rape and behead people. And, my goodness, just what might their murderers be experiencing in Gitmo and those secret prisons? Horrors!

But let's not be concerned at all what a little baby experiences when it is murdered a day before it's due to enter this world. And let's not have anything biblical or Christian or any mention of God in the public arena. Yet, in a school district in California, it's OK to teach children about Islam in complete Muslim garb. I guess it's OK for their children to pray to the god Allah, but not God.

Now the latest ... a freedom-from religion-group wants to put dangerous-to-read stickers on all Bibles in our motel rooms. They also want our armed services chaplains to not offer prayers in Jesus' name.

Is this the kind of absurdity, or lunacy, you folks voted for when you voted for "change?"

It seems to me that this country is not only losing common sense, but also its social, ethical and moral sanity. My dictionary describes sanity as "soundness of judgement." Enough said. -- Sid Jacobsma
