A different course?

Posted: Thursday, January 18, 2007
DAKOTA DUNES -- In President Bush's Sunday night interview on "60 Minutes" he said, "... but if we do not succeed in Iraq, we will leave behind a Middle East which will endanger America in the future ..." Isn't it ironic that President Bush invaded Iraq, without provocation and under the guise that it was a war waged against terrorism and those that posed a threat to America and now he acknowledges that we have increased the threat to our armed services and American citizens by our presence in Iraq.

I totally support our troops as they are doing what has been asked of them. But if President Bush indirectly acknowledges the mistake of our presence in Iraq, shouldn't we seriously consider a different course? -- Kelly Hagen

" To OMG....Possibly you need to get your facts straight. Kuwait was still a hot spot in 2001. Our military pilots were getting shot at from the ground on a daily basis. Possibly you didn't read or hear about it on the nightly news. Doesn't mean it wasn't happening. "

" Shirley you jest! UN NOT given enough time? 17 separate resolutions were passed by the UN Security Council, each and every one ignored by Sadam! When is enough enough? Guess that depends on what your definition of what "is" is! "
