The Volante of the University of South Dakota is one of several newspapers operated at Siouxland four-year colleges. The others:
-- The Wayne Stater, Wayne State University
-- The Tack, Buena Vista University
-- Cliff News, Briar Cliff College
-- The Collegian Reporter, Morningside College
-- Beacon, Northwestern College
-- The Diamond, Dordt College
Not all colleges go to the expense of printing out content on news print. Briar Cliff journalists, for example, create articles and art, then students receive e-mails with links to the Web site on which the articles can be read.
