A legal path already exists

Posted: Friday, May 04, 2007
Demonstrators throughout the country are demanding Congress provide a "legal" path to citizenship. There is a path to legal citizenship. The illegals chose to ignore that path and now demand that their path be "legalized."

" You need a tax ID number or Social Security number when you go to work. why the Federal Government doesn't check up on this is beyond me. Both Kansas and Missouri require everything on the return to be accurate or no refund. I don't know what Iowa does, but this is just anarchy, what is going on with illegals. The American people need to demand that their government, from local officials, to state and Federal, stop turning a blind eye to the problem. I am no racist. My family came to this country - LEGALLY. All we ask is that illegals take the legal route. To not do so thumbs our nose at all those who choose the legal path. "

" We need to pull our troops out of Iraq and protect our borders from all directions.Mexico needs to build their own infrastructure. The only welfare mexico has is pointing their poor to the United States. We need to send them back and start holding the Mexican government accountable.Im sick of people riding on the coattails of the American taxpayer and then dilutting everything we have worked to build ie: wages, healthcare etc... " Three brothers from the Balkans are in custody right now charged with plotting to murder American soldiers at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Eljvir, Dritan and Shain Duka were in the USA illegally and all three had run-ins with the law, mostly traffic violations in New Jersey. Shain Duka had his license suspended 19 times. Dritan Duka had 11 suspensions. And Eljvir had an astounding 24 suspensions of his driver's license. The Washington Post is reporting that Shain and Dritan Duka both pleaded guilty to low level drug charges yet they remained in this country for 23 years because the authorities in New Jersey simply didn't want to deal with them. Despite being here illegally, they obtained drivers licenses and were never jailed. Astounding! I will vote for a Presidential candidate that vows to crack down on illegals. "

" Superdude, It is not only big business to blame. Many of the hispanics here legally are exploiting the "illegals". Think of it, looking for work, only speak spanish, a naturalized business owner brings a workforce from outside. Also, many say they are "independant contractors" and are suppose to pay their own taxes, soc sec, comp, but do they? "
