Bellevue will confer degrees Saturday

Bellevue University will confer 1,882 undergraduate and graduate degrees during summer commencementat 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Omaha Civic Auditorium.

The commencement speaker will be Frank J. Anderson Jr., a retired Air Force brigadier general who is president of Defense Acquisition University based in Fort Belvoir, Va.
Defense Acquisition University was established in 1991 to oversee the training of the 135,000 civilian and military employees of the Department of Defense. Two years ago, Bellevue University began working with DAU senior leadership to define critical human capital issues and develop cost-effective approaches to aid the federal government in addressing high priority workforce learning needs.
Bellevue's partnership with Defense Acquisition University has resulted in two new master's degrees. The master of science in acquisition management program began in May 2007 and a new M.B.A. program with a concentration in acquisition also will be available through DAU.
