Ida Grove firm cited for safety practices

IDA GROVE, Iowa -- Midwest Industries Inc. recently received an award for Outstanding Achievement in Accident Prevention from the Iowa/Illinois Safety Council. The award was presented at the 54th annual Professional Development Conference and Expo in Coralville, Iowa
Director of enforcement programs, U.S. Department of Labor, Richard Fairfax, presented the award to Midwest Industries representatives Bob Withee, safety, health and environment coordinator and Sean Benner. site manager. The company was one of the 148 businesses, industries and government agencies in Iowa and Illinois to receive an award for promoting active safety programs and reducing OSHA recordable injuries among their employees.
Midwest Industries, based in Ida Grove, manufactures ShoreLand'r Trailers and ShoreStation Waterfront Equipment.
