A Macy, Neb., woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing and killing a man on the Omaha Indian Reservation Tuesday.
Janice Grant is accused of killing 24-year-old Erasmo Porter in Macy during the early morning hours on Tuesday, U.S. Attorney Joe Stecher said today.
Grant appeared in federal district court in Omaha today on a felony charge of second-degree murder, two days after she was arrested by Omaha Tribal Police.
"The genesis of the incident is what appears to be some type of domestic disturbance," Stecher said.
Grant is in federal custody and is set to return for a further detention hearing and a preliminary examination next Tuesday at 10 a.m., Stecher said.
