Posted: Saturday, August 04, 2007

The Siouxland Coalition for Peace will host a peace vigil from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Monday at the corner of Sixth and Nebraska streets. The vigil will commemorate the dropping of the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima.

The First Presbyterian Church, which is located at the site of Monday's peace vigil, will begin the vigil by ringing its bells. All places of worship are encouraged to join in bell ringing, a press release issued by the coalition stated.
