" Sir, why not look to The Williston Basin of North Dakota and Montana for light sweet crude oil to meet your 400,000 boed goal. There is supposed to be much more oil in The Williston that what has yet to be found? This could shrink the size, cost and the amount of crappy sulphur from The Canandian Oil Tar Crap. "

" Is someone passing around a petition? They need to get the word out as there are plenty of people who will sign based on what a refinery is, not on the percieved believabilty of a conman or some dispute with a neighbor which as pointed out was there before this project came along. Notice we get this vague posts making wild claims and namecalling every time there is a major pr push by hyperion. Lets see: anti-progress, bullies, thugs etc but no details of what is planned. pop culture link-Think of the begining of the movie Meninblack. The marine is all excited but doesn't know whats going on. I really like the "this county need to change" Why? low unemployment, low pollution, relatively low taxes, low congestion, plenty of drinkable water, all the other pluses hyperion points out, do we really want to change to the alternatives? "

" I've been concerned about the environment and for my neighbors who don't want the refinery. Then it occurred to me. Why are my so called neighbors threatening me and others if I don't sign documents opposing this project? The neighbors that signed options on their land have been friendly. The spokes person for Hyperion has been friendly. It all be came clear. None of them need any money and they have always been bullies. As far as I can tell, Hyperion is already a better neighbor and they haven't even moved in. The only thing that is clear, this county needs a change. I like Hyperion's positive attitude far better than those folks that live down the road. "

" Capitalism at any cost - ends justify the means. Money is all that matters greed is good. Everything is for sale at some price. Why don't we remove all goverment regulations down to warnings on cigs and let capatalism run unchecked regardless of what is does to individuals. Anyone thinking that way will never understand what is attractive about the lifestyle here, all that matters to them is little green pieces of paper. My question- Why should anyone have to hand over property that they are already making money on (for the absolute capitalist freek) so that a corporation can make money. Why should we raise cancer rates for a corporation to make money? Why should YOU deceide my business is less importaint that yours? "

" When area land owners refer to SE South Dakota as "God's Country", are they referring to themselves as Gods? The arrogance is disgusting. Would all of those opposed to this POTENTIAL project please wake up and smell the capitalism and have a piece of humble pie. It seems that those opposed to this project are simply afraid of the "go getters" who are willing to EARN their wealth rather than inherit it. "
