We need separation of religion from state

Posted: Friday, September 21, 2007
SIOUX CITY -- I never thought I’d agree with the ACLU, you know the Anti Christian Liberties Union, but now I have to in one area.

We are in desperate need of a separation of religion and state. However, that religion is not that of the Christian fundamentalists, it is the religion of Secular Humanism. In 1961, the U.S. Supreme Court acknowledged that Secular Humanism was a religion. It is a religion where mankind (sorry, personkind) is the center of the universe. Secular Humanists manifest themselves in the entertainment and news media, and in education which promotes an unsubstantiated science of evolution. The same academia that gets excited about a little bit of moisture on Mars, citing it as possible proof of life having existed or existing there, has no qualms about killing real human life inside the womb.

Now their big focus is on the saving of the environment. The Secular Humanists, in conjunction with a liberal media, are promoting this religion relentlessly.

A word to the Secular Humanists: You are doing everything in your power to silence the Christian viewpoint in this society, please practice what you preach and stop promoting your worship of man and the earth, under guise of saving the environment and living green. Besides, if you believe in God and the Bible at all you can take comfort in this fact as stated in Colossians 1:17-18: “For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.”

But that’s exactly what you despise, isn’t it? -- Kevin M. Nelson

" Back in the days when Jews were starting to question their own faith and "stray from the path of righteousness," a group of guys got together in the desert and wrote a book. That's right--a BOOK! Pieces of paper with words. Words...written in Hebrew. It wasn't an instant best-seller and it was only a sequel to an already popular book. It was called the Bible. If you don't believe in witches, if you eat shellfish, and if you don't beat your children...I don't see how you can take ANYTHING ELSE in the Bible for factor even think any part of it sounds like a good idea. " You can't argue that God's real, using the Bible for reference. That's like defining a word with itself. Question: What's a cat? Answer: A cat-like animal. Are you opposed to environmental consideration? When the Earth becomes unfit for human life, who will be left to worship your God? How will "He" feel when we've destroyed "His" creation? There's a difference between searching for life outside of Earth and believing that women's bodies are theirs and theirs alone. If we ban abortion, YOU better adopt the thousands of aborted fetuses that will be born. YOU better be willing to say to the wealthy, "Don't adopt babies from foreign countries when there are starving, neglected children in THIS country." Here's an idea: Do unto other as you would have others do unto you. Do you enjoy when people mock your belief system? Do you get a thrill when people point out that Creationism (sorry, Intellegent Design) is based on nothing but a 2000-year-old book? Would you be excited by others telling you how to live your life? Answer these questions for yourself and then...practice what YOU preach. "

" Well this thread has sure digressed itself into a boring argument of who knows the most about nothing (religion). Good Grief. "
