Sioux Cityan sentenced for using stolen credit cards

SIOUX CITY -- A Sioux City man has been sentenced to prison for using stolen credit cards.
In an October bench trial, District Judge John D. Ackerman found Kevin D. Edwards, 40, guilty of two counts of forgery and single counts of credit card and identity theft. Ackerman also ruled Edwards was a habitual offender with several previous felony convictions.
Today, Ackerman sentenced Edwards to 15 years in prison and ordered him to pay restitution in an amount to be determined later.
According to court documents, on April 24 Edwards used two stolen credit cards to buy $356.32 in clothing from The Buckle and $139.09 in merchandise from Scheels All Sports. Both businesses are located at Southern Hills Mall.
