Dangerous talk

ROCK VALLEY, Iowa -- Even though a new intelligence report has come out that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program four years ago, President Bush continues his bellicose rhetoric. "Third World War." "Iran is dangerous." Also adding he would not take off the table the possibility of pre-emtive action against Iran. Unbelievable. Embarrassing !
This is dangerous talk, and what are we doing to our reputation among our allies?
Recently, Bob Anderson, a former lieutenant governor of Iowa, returned from Europe and stated he had never seen the image of the United States so low among our friends abroad. I believe the tough stance President Bush and Pentagon Chief Robert Gates have taken with their lashing out is counterproductive. Truthfully, I have more fear of the rhetoric that keeps reiterating from our president than the thought of Iran obtaining nuclear power.
He seems blind to the things that make for peace. A diplomat he is not.
Another war, God forbid. -- Myra Heuer
