SIOUX FALLS -- West's wrestling team won the final four matches, but it wasn't enough as Sioux Falls Roosevelt hung on for a 39-34 victory Thursday night.

West, now 0-3 in duals, trailed 39-13, then Alex Hill (171) decisioned the Rough Riders' Carl Freed, 9-6. Wolverine 189-pounder Billy Beckner pinned Josh Leisinger in 1:20, while teammates Julian Loera (215) and Jesus Garbiso (Hwt.) each won by forfeit.

West's Jared Foster tied the match 4-4 with a 10-0 major decision over Zach Johnson at 112, but Roosevelt's Tanner Anderson snapped the tie with a pin for a team that won five of their next six matches before the Wolverines' Nick Forneris (152) pinned Colin Karsky in 3:43.

West junior varsity heavyweight Al Williamson had a fall in 51 seconds.
