Oglala Lakota College opens Pine Ridge dormitory

Posted: Thursday, December 27, 2007
RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- Oglala Lakota College has opened a new dormitory for students taking classes at the Pine Ridge College Center.

The dorm has six efficiency apartments and six one-bedroom furnished apartments.

"Many of our students live in homes with multiple families, and these apartments will offer them the solitude needed for study," said Shirley Brewer, Pine Ridge College Center director.

The Pine Ridge College Center is Oglala Lakota College's second-largest center. More than 250 students enrolled for the fall semester at the center.
