Tanworld adds four more franchises

Posted: Sunday, January 06, 2008
Sioux City-based tanworld has opened four new locations, including one in Le Mars, Iowa.

The Le Mars salon is owned by Terry and Lisa Messelhiser and Ron and Stacy Mahlke, all of Le Mars. For both couples, this is their first tanworld franchise.

The new Lacrosse, Wisc. location is owned by Wade and Jennifer Teslow of Dubuque, Iowa. This is the Teslow's sixth location, with two salons in Dubuque, Iowa; one salon in Cedar Falls, Iowa; one salon in Waterloo, Iowa; and one location in the Platteville, Wisconsin market.

The new St Cloud, Minn. location is owned by John and Wendy Fell of Mankato, Minn., and formerly of Holstein, Iowa.

The new Kearney, Neb. location is owned by Curt and Amy Bowen of Lincoln, NE. This is the Bowens sixth location in Nebraska. They also own three salons in Omaha and two in Lincoln.

Cheri Cosgrove, president and founder of tanworld, said that the new additions offer an upscale tanning experience and feature an exquisite line of skin products manufactured by MR International, for whom tanworld is the exclusive Midwest retailer.

The four locations bring tanworld’s franchise total to 44, with more currently underway. It continues to be the largest tanning franchise in Iowa, and the Midwest, where it has salons in eight states.
