Kevin Christian, Colorado Springs, Colo.: The senior third baseman from Evangelical Christian High School of Colorado Springs batted .367 in 2007 with 16 RBIs. He was successful in 20 of 21 stolen base attempts.

Football

Brice Kroeze, Sioux Center, Iowa: The 6-1, 245-pound linebacker/offensive guard from Unity Christian High School won first-team Class 2A District 1 honors on defense. He was named Unity's defensive most valuable player while leading the team to a 5-4 record in just their second year of varsity football. He had 21 solo tackles, 36 assisted tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks, one interception and one blocked kick. He also earned academic all-district honors. He is projected as a linebacker for Dordt, which will open its first varsity football campaign in September and will play in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
