Abortion: 'The greatest injustice of our time'
Posted: Wednesday, January 23, 2008
SIOUX CITY -- Monday marked the 35th tragic anniversary of legalized abortion in the U.S.A. Over 50 million of our young people have been denied life due to the legal acceptance of this law of the land.
I consider abortion the greatest injustice of our time. Abortion is part of the culture of death which has caused increased violence and disregard for all human life, born and unborn.
Sioux City has experienced a couple tragic examples of this since we started this year. We are still mourning the loss of some innocent victims of bizarre deaths. Our heartfelt sorrow goes out to the victims' families as we are all affected by these front-page stories.
In another part of town, behind closed doors to the public eye, on scheduled dates not generally known, abortions take place in Sioux City. Sometimes 10, sometimes 20 unborn children are eliminated because this nation allowed a mother the "right to choose" life or death for her own child.
Is it any wonder why we see an increasing disregard for life? Strange that we have no media coverage for the tiny babies. The chain of life, under God's law, is broken. It's not front-page news.
We can all curse the darkness or join others on Sunday at Central Baptist Church to unite all Christians in prayer to defend life. The annual Pro-Life Interfaith Prayer service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Begin this year with a greater love for God's gift of life. Let's make a difference. -- Marge Stanek

The beginning of my last two paragraphs began with:
Thank you but, please don't feel sorry for me. The rest was addressed to Peggy, Marge and all the others that fall in the same catagory.
Have they spent time with these abused women/girls, have the volunteered their time to help investagate the unsolved rape cases?, have you adopted a rape baby, etc. What have you done to help???? From what you write all I hear is judgement. "

If the people at the paper could edit part 2 and 3 to allow it to be read...I won't mind. I want people to know what it feels like at that moment and the rest of your life. "
