Dental clinic to celebrate opening

Sunnybrook Dental will host an open house Wednesday at its new clinic at 5708 Sunnybrook Drive.
Siouxland Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. The clinic is located in a new retail center at Sunnybrook Plaza, just across the street from a McDonald's, and near a Greatland Target and Lowes Home Improvement store.
Dr. Mindy Stevens opened Sunnybrook Dental on Jan. 2. She has practiced in Sioux City since 2002.
Stevens, a Sioux City native, graduated from East High School. She received her undergraduate and dental degrees from Creighton University. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association and the Sioux City Dental Society.
Sunnybrook Dental's office staff includes office manager Missy Palm and Connie Klaus, a Certified Dental Assistant.
The clinic offers state-of-the art technology and treatment suites with massaging dental chairs with memory foam to make patients as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Each suite also features satellite TV and XM satellite radio.
With an intra-oral camera, patients can take a tour of their mouths, viewing troublesome areas, such as old fillings, fractured teeth or abnormalities with their gum tissue. The clinic's x-ray system allows for comfortable placement of the X-rays in their mouths, which are then scanned into their charts. X-rays can be viewed on a video scren, allowing patients to see where they have cavities, tarter build up or areas of infection.
