Sioux City schools announce kindergarten registration dates

SIOUX CITY -- Kindergarten registration for the Sioux City Community School District will begin March 28.
A child must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 15, 2008, and show proof of vaccination to register for kindergarten.
Iowa immunization law requires a child to have received the following vaccines to enroll in school: diphtheria/tetanus/pertussis, polio, measles/rubella, hepatitis B and varicella. Visit the Sioux City Community School District Web site at www.siouxcityschools.org for a complete guide of dose requirements.
Parents are asked to call the school their child will be attending for more information about kindergarten registration, or they can call the District Elementary Education Office at 279-6677.
