NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. (AP) -- A judge has fined a woman $750 for letting her teenage daughter lean out of a school van on a highway to get beer from a vehicle full of boys.

The woman, 48-year-old Terry Kisling of Hickman, in October was driving a van full of Norris High School cheerleaders to a game in Nebraska City.

Principal John Skretta says the boys pulled up next to the school van.

One of girls held up a sign that said "Beer?" Then one of the boys held out a can of beer, and Kisling maneuvered the school van close enough for her daughter to grab the beer.

Kisling pleaded no contest to contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was sentenced by Otoe County Judge John Steinheider.

In a plea deal, a charge of reckless driving was dropped.

" I bet mom was a cheerleader too and she wanted to be a cool mom, instead of her mom, who was obviously not so cool. Way to live like a teen cheer-mom!! "

" $750 is not nearly enough for something this stupid. Way to set an example. "
