ORANGE CITY, Iowa -- A person was taken to the hospital with injuries this morning after a two-vehicle accident near Orange City.

According to Iowa State Patrol Sgt. Stu Christians, at approximately 6:30 a.m. a semi-tractor trailer was northbound in Highway 143 and a car was eastbound in Highway 10. Christians said the driver of the semi-tractor trailer did not stop at the intersection of Highways 143 and 10, entered the intersection and was struck by the car.

He said the driver of the car was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

Christians said the roadways were wet and foggy at the time of the crash.
