SIOUX CITY -- Sioux City-based tanworld recently opened five new franchise locations in three states.
Two new Wisconsin salons, located in Madison and Fitchburg, are owned by Wade and Jennifer Teslow of Dubuque, Iowa. It's the seventh and eighth location for the Teslows, who also have two salons in Dubuque, Iowa; one in Cedar Falls, Iowa; one in Waterloo, Iowa; one in Platteville, Wisconsin; and one location in Lacrosse, Wisconsin.
The new Grand Island and Omaha locations are owned by Curt and Amy Bowen of Lincoln, Neb. It's the eighth and ninth location for the Bowens, who owns three other salons in Omaha, two in Lincoln and one each in Kearney and Hastings, Neb.
The new Winchester, Virginia location is owned by Joshua and Art Cohen. This is the father and son's first location.
Cheri Cosgrove, president and founder of tanworld, said that the five new additions to tanworld will offer an upscale tanning experience and will feature an exquisite line of skin products manufactured by MR International for whom tanworld is an exclusive retailer.
Tanworld, the largest tanning franchise in Iowa and the Midwest, now has 50 franchises in nine states, with others currently in construction. The first salon opened in Sioux City in 1995.
