In Sioux City, March for Babies will get under way at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Long Lines Family Rec Center.
Funds raised by March for Babies in Siouxland support prenatal care programs at the Crittenton Center, "Keep Me Safe" program through the Siouxland District Health Department, neonatal intensive care unit parent packs, comprehensive newborn screening tests and numerous other projects for healthy babies.
"I'm proud to be part of a national movement to ensure that every baby has a healthy start in life," said Mike Freeman, Alorica site manager. "Everyone can be a champion for baby health by signing up for March for Babies.
"It's easy to join me," said Freeman. "Just visit marchforbabies.org or call toll-free 1-800-525-9255 to sign up as an individual, start a corporate, family or friends team or donate to help babies be born healthy."
"Our family has personally benefited from research and provisions made possible by the March of Dimes as have all babies," Freeman stated. "My wife and I are dedicated to helping the March of Dimes further their mission and I am proud to set a great example by getting Alorica involved."
