ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) -- The probe into a shooting that wounded an Aberdeen police officer Wednesday during a drug raid continues.
Forty-year-old Grant Schnabel was shot in the leg and was reported in fair condition late Thursday at Avera St. Luke's Hospital.
Schnabel is a 13-year police veteran and is normally assigned to patrol Northern State University.
Officials haven't disclosed who fired the shot or whether it was accidental or criminal.
After the shooting, a police officer was observed visibly upset as he handed his gun to fellow officers.
Two people were arrested in the raid.
