The faith of terrorists

Posted: Sunday, June 08, 2008
SIOUX CITY -- I was given the gift of life by Jesus Christ and placed in the hands of Christian parents for guidance. Through spiritual guidance and an awareness of God's assistance in daily life, I have been blessed with an unshakable belief in the love and promises of Jesus.

Others in the world believe in a different God. Some believe that their God demands the killing of infidels for them to enter into heaven. Unfortunately for us, we Americans are their infidels.

What manner of egotism leads Barack Obama or any other politician into believing that the faith of terrorists is any less strong than ours? Do they really think that they can talk terrorists out of a lifelong belief in their God?

This kind of foolishness can only lead to disaster. We had best be honest with ourselves before voting in November. -- Jim Schrunk

" What a dangerous theological position! Somehow, we are led to believe that God the Father, who blessed Abram above all his contemporaries, who directed and inspired the laws of Moses, was too harsh, and apparently needed Jesus to teach Him how to be more merciful. After all, it was God who inspired Moses to record Exodus 22:2 which states, If a thief is caught breaking in and is struck so that he dies, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed. Moreover, those who brandish the sign Thou Shalt not Kill in protests against the defenders of Americas second amendment, obviously believe that God was confused on the meaning of kill when He inspired the aforementioned law. " I somehow do not feel the simple living Arabs would not do that. They have a good idea of right and wrong. The Torah consists of the first five books of the bible.

I thought they kill thier own people to with bombs strapped to their chest screaming in the name of thier God. Hussien has gassed his own and Al Queida slices heads of people fresh pulled out of the car or truck.
Yes, similar things do happen here in America I forgot. "

" Jim, I am a Christian also and I agree. Only the rebelious Islams believe in that kind of killing. That is not written in the Torah which speaks of Abraham as a decendent in Gods plan. Muhammed started there worship of a meteorrite and I feel it is an envious religion. Which writtings in Aramic. Woprship face down on the ground. Which represents a symbol of peace or wisedom. Maybe some people need to do that more often "face down". Including so called Christians. "
