A moment of silence for secondhand smoke victims

Posted: Sunday, June 08, 2008
SERGEANT BLUFF -- In place of all the whining, crying and sniveling about the smoking ban, I think it would be more appropriate to have a moment of silence to honor the thousands of innocent victims who have died over the decades, thanks to smokers' secondhand poison. -- Jerry J. Kobs

" It doesnt bother me that smoking is being banned, however it does raise some concern for me since we live so close to nebraska (or in nebraska) on how many people that smoke are going to get behind the wheel to go to a bar where they can smoke and drink, which may lead to alot more drunkin drivers out on the road which is quite a scary thought. " I agree with Pete. The smoker for years has just assumed they had a right to blow their smoke where they will and were NOT being considerate of those around them. Tables have turned and they are upset. Too bad! "
