Republicans: Only for the rich
Posted: Wednesday, June 11, 2008
SIOUX CITY -- The McCain/Bush theory of trickle-down economics has failed to build a strong economy, and this past seven years has proven that Republican politicians don't care. They are blatantly giving money to rich people, and we are letting them.
Did you know that rich people who make all of their income by owning stocks and getting paid dividends pay no income tax? This and other tax cuts to rich people during this seven years were supposed to trickle down to you and me. They claimed that these rich Republicans would use all of that extra money to build new factories and hire more of us to work in them.
Well, are you better off now than when Bill Clinton was our president? This is all so clear that I cannot understand how any working man or woman can actually claim to be a Republican. Republicans are not for you. They are for themselves - rich people. Oil companies have the largest profits in the history of the entire world. Other energy companies and insurance companies are swelling their vaults with cash. Credit card bankers can now make huge profits from people who cannot afford them because Republicans changed the law to make it almost impossible to declare bankruptcy on credit card debt. Other Dick Cheney friends, like Halliburton and Blackwater, have been given billions of our dollars as part of the illegal and tragic war.
In spite of the last two presidential elections, I have confidence that people are generally rational and have by now figured all of this out. If you are not one of these rich people, then you are not really a Republican. Vote for Democrats. -- Lee Sturgeon

I went to school for what I did because a pin-up at the Unemployment office said Computer jobs were on the rise.
I graduated and amassed 20k in Student Loan Debt.
I cannot find and job for what I went to school for.
Mommy and Daddy didn't pay for my school or carry my butt while going to school,I worked and earned every bit of it.
A Republican has had thier chance for 8 years, time to let a Democrat have a go.
BTW,when Bill Clinton was in Office I had the best years financially in my life. "

From Craig Karmins Biography of the Dollar: How
the Mighty Buck Conquered the World and Why It's Under Siege:
In 2005, U.S. interest payments on foreign debt topped the $100 billion mark for the first time coming in at $114 billion dollars. That breaks down to $310
million per day, according to Joseph Quinlan, Bank of Americas chief
market strategist. This equates to more than $1 per day for every man,
woman, and child in America. Not only is America addicted to foreign oil,
America is addicted to foreign capital. This is not healthy, wealthy, or wise.
