Proxy bids will be accepted by calling the day care prior to the event.

"This is our fourth year for the Chair-ity event," said Jane Heider, MEDCC director. "We have a number of new artists and several repeat artists that joined in the fun this year. In addition to adult Adirondack chairs, this year we also have a few adult and child sized rocking chairs, kids table and chair sets, a couple of child’s storage chests, and a few desk chairs. Refreshments will be served and some talented young musicians will perform before the auction begins."

All of the artistic chairs and children's furniture are one-of-a-kind. There is something for every taste. Themes vary from a Geisha girl beside a koi pond, to the tattoo chair, featuring iconic tattoo designs, patriotic themes, jungle themes and more. Prestige Auto Body provided a sprayed-on clear coat for the items to protect the artwork from the outdoor elements and Stultz Plumbing has provided storage for the chairs before and after they became works of art.
