CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) -- Thirteen people on cleanup-duty at a flood-damaged building in Cedar Rapids have ended up at the hospital for carbon monoxide poisoning.

Laura Rainey of St. Luke's Hospital said the workers were being treated Wednesday night for injuries that appeared to be non-life-threatening.

A message left for Rainey Thursday morning was not immediately returned.

Emergency crews were called to the building about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Officials say the cleanup crew was working inside the building with gasoline engines running and not enough ventilation.
