Sioux Cityan among Culver's picks for Rebuild Iowa panel

DES MOINES - Iowa Gov. Chet Culver on Thursday announced the names of those appointed to the Rebuild Iowa Advisory Commission that will lead the state’s flood and storm recovery efforts.
The commission and a new executive agency to oversee disaster recovery were created by Culver through an executive order last week.
Iowa National Guard Major Gen. Ron Dardis will lead the commission.
“These individuals will provide a guiding hand as we begin down the road to recovery,” Culver said in a statement. “I look forward to working with this commission and its chair, Gen. Ron Dardis, as well as all Iowans, as together we create a brighter, stronger future for Iowa.”
The commission members include the following; Bill Bywater, Iowa City; Jim Davis, Charles City; Mike Earley, Des Moines; Jim Fausett, Coralville; William Gerhard, Iowa City; Karris Golden, Waterloo; Brent Halling, Perry; Mike King, Creston; Linda Larkin, Fort Madison; Nitza Lopez-Castillo, Columbus Junction; Carroll Reasoner, Cedar Rapids; Amy Truax, Parkersburg; Mark Wandro, Des Moines; Beverly Wharton, Sioux City.
