ARNOLDS PARK, Iowa -- "Red Bull Blackout," the nighttime film project made last summer at the Iowa Great Lakes with the world's best professional wakeboarders, will premiere at 10 p.m. today on water in front of the green-space at the Arnold's Park Amusement Park.

The event will be open and free to the public and will be visible from both the green-space and the water.

The Blackout video was produced by cinematographer Ronn Seidenglanz of Sidewayz Productions. The wakeboarders were videoed on everything from barges to land gaps and rails in the dark of night, using specialized lighting and helicopters.

The premiere marks the national launch of the feature on TV and DVD.

World-class wake athletes J.D. Webb, Brian Grubb, Adam Errington, Collin Harrington Ben Greenwood and Reed Hansen appear in the production, conquering one of the most unique concepts in action sports films. The film was shot entirely in the Okoboji area on West Lake Okoboji, Center Lake and other smaller farm ponds in the area last September.

Seidenglanz says he's "excited to hold the premiere for the film on the very water we shot the film on. It's awesome to have such community support for such a daring set of stunts and a complex shoot such as this one; we are glad to have the premiere at one of the biggest days in Okoboji on the water."

The video will be projected onto a large screen on a barge just off the shoreline of the Arnolds Park green-space. Spectators are encouraged to boat up and/or watch from the green-space.

The idea was conceived in the summer of 2006 by 2004 Spirit Lake High School graduate Nick Schrunk who is a graphics design major at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
