'A most lethal mistake'
Posted: Thursday, July 17, 2008
SIOUX CITY -- It has to be a punishing decision for any president of the United States to send our armed forces into battle. It takes a man of character, courage, faith in God and faith in fellow countrymen to do so.
President Bush was forced to make this decision and did so with this selfless statement: I'm going to do what is right for the country, no matter the political consequences." America will win the war in Iraq and we will have a democracy as a strong ally in the fight against terrorism in the center of the Middle East.
The character of the liberal Bill Clinton extended only to his ability to charm the American people during speeches and to satisfy his sexual fantasies. Bill Clinton had ample reason and opportunity to begin the end of terrorism, but concern for legacy took precedence over the safety of the American people. By the end of his long eight years as our president, Clinton had leaders of other nations believing that America had lost her courage and resolve to defend her freedom.
Now during the war in Iraq, the liberals fight against our ways to extract valuable information from the captured. We cannot use wiretapping to guard against terrorist attacks. The liberals call our own brave soldiers murderers and rapists and want to tell our enemies the exact date on which we will stop fighting.
The American voter is about to make a most lethal mistake. Barack Obama is the most liberal of them all and we are close to naming him commander in chief. God help us. -- Jim Schrunk

You think I'm spinning?
If you read my posts carefully you'll see I'm not happy with either party. The Republican's got hijacked by Neo-nuts and the Spineless-crats are apathetic weenies.
You can slap both parties for their failings and I won't complain. I will however challenge people for inaccurate cheerleading. People who vote straight party tickets because of ideologically or treat politics with the same reverence as a root for your team mentality dont deserve their right to vote. Those people are sheep. "

Read "Fiscal Stewardship GAO-07-362SP" and you will learn social security is an off budget item (its not on the books) and the GAO calls it unsustainable. Its how politicians get say the economy is doing great and technically not lie. Then read GAO-08-317 which an update made this April, we are in bigger trouble than most know; this economy is the tip of the iceberg. "

The Global War on Terror is actually a ways down on the list as far as spending goes.
We spend more money on(in order):
Social Security
Medicare
Medicaid and SCHIP
Unemployment and Welfare
Interest on Debt
Department of Defense
Luckily, we have had record tax receipts the past few years. Tax revenue to the federal government last year was about $800 billion more than in 1998.
Still, the budget is on track to be in surplus by 2012. "
