Obama offers hope

SIOUX CITY -- Even with the mess our country is in today, I find myself hopeful. In Barack Obama we finally have someone who, rather than proposing more of the same-old, same-old, looks at the unconsidered and the "inconceivable" with fresh eyes. For me, hope isn’t about being a slogan.

I had always hoped, but never thought I would see, a presidential campaign not heavily supported by PACs and federal lobbyists, those special interest groups who KNOW the candidate owes them. I had always hoped, but never thought I would see, a presidential candidate who ran a positive campaign n one who, despite all provocations, had the inner strength, judgment and faith in the American people to maintain a positive and issue-focused campaign.

For these and so many more reasons, today I’m feeling the kind of hope I haven’t felt since the �60s n a rekindling of the type of idealism and actions to which we were inspired by the vision of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King.

" What happens when you don't trust either candidate? Obama spews words, but not substance, flip-flops without regard to promises made,and plays the race card while accusing McCain of that. McCain cannot escape his ties to Bush, and so waffles as much as Obama. Obama comes across as flimflam. McCain comes across as old guy with a grasp on the issues but an inability to master new communications techniques -- not even his teleprompter. " Mary Beth please by all means don't listen to me, vindication always comes to me by obstinate people who want to believe what is in their head vs. what evidence or history points to. I make no claim in being all knowing, I'm simply a student to wiser people who know more than I do. People like Warren Buffet, Steve Forbes, Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, Mike Maloney, Richard Duncan, business resources, etc. Their investing and business track records are their resumes.

All wrote on this moment occurring years before it happened. Not because they are fortune tellers but because they understand the history of money and that everything in history is cyclical. If you look back far enough in history you see patterns that are repeating themselves again and again. If you are prepared then you will know what to do in economies like we have today. " Obama has no Idea what he is doing or what he is going to do. The Democrats picked him to run for President in 2004 because he was an articulate black man, not because he knew anything. They thought he would be a good stooge for the Democrats to run. This is obvious when you see him interviewed, or speaking with no teleprompter. Suddenly he is at a loss for words, and what he says in nonsensical. He has no plan for the Future other than the same old Left wing Socialistic Rhetoric. "
