Siouxland medical technology students graduate

SIOUX CITY -- The Sioux City Medical Technology program conducted its graduation ceremony Friday morning at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center.

SIOUX CITY -- The Sioux City Medical Technology program conducted its graduation ceremony Friday morning at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center.

St. Luke's College and Mercy Medical Center--Sioux City sponsor the cooperative medical technology clinical education program. Students are accepted into the program after completing at least 90 hours of course work at their respective college or university.

The 10 students who were graduated Friday have completed a 12-month program of lectures and medical laboratory experience. Six graduates received their clinical experience at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center and four at Mercy Medical Center.

The six St. Luke's College Medical Technology Program graduates, with their hometowns and affiliated universities, are: Kari Berntson of Sanborn, N.D., University of South Dakota; Meredith Jorgensen of Le Mars, Iowa, Morningside College; Eric Kessel of Bowman, N.D., Briar Cliff University; Kelly Kroeze of Sioux Center, Iowa, Dordt College; Tim Robinson of Sioux Falls, University of Sioux Falls, and Jessica Solberg of Sioux Falls, South Dakota State University.

The four Mercy Medical Center graduates, with their hometowns and affiliated universities, are: Amanda Bredeson of Spencer, Iowa, South Dakota State University; Teresa Feldhacker of Hawarden, Iowa, South Dakota State University; Nicole Hostetler of Tea, SD, University of South Dakota, and Amanda Korver of Maurice, Iowa, Dordt College.
