LINCOLN, Neb. -- A Lincoln woman’s car was so nice, thieves stole it twice in the span of two days this weekend, Lincoln Police Capt. David Beggs said.
Unknown suspects on two occasions used unknown means to enter and drive away in her Daewoo Leganza.
It was parked at her home on the 600 block of South 18th Street on Friday night, the first time she reported it missing. She reported the theft to police Saturday morning, and officers found it later that day unattended in the area of Capital Avenue and Randolph Street, Beggs said.
She parked it outside her home again and told police she was certain that she’d locked it. Regardless, someone took it Saturday night.
Beggs said police recovered the Daewoo left in a parking lot near the 19th and J streets intersection, again unharmed.
The Leganza is valued at $2,200.
