EP-J opens Legion tourney in Milbank

Elk Point-Jefferson will meet Platte-Geddes Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the first-round game in the South Dakota Class B American Legion baseball tournament in Milbank.
In other first-round games Wednesday, Parkston meets Big Stone City (10 a.m.), Garretson faces Groton (5 p.m.) and Lead-Deadwood meets Milbank (7:30).
If EP-J wins its opener it would tangle with the winner of the Lead-Deadwood and Milbank contest Thursday at 7:30. If EP-loses it would face the loser of Lead and Milbank at 12:30 Thursday in Milbank.
The double elimination tourney concludes Sunday.
