Fire damages Norfolk business

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A Norfolk business sustained about $10,000 in structural damage when a fire broke out Thursday night.
At 11:14 p.m. the Norfolk Fire Division responded to a report of heavy smoke coming from Central Transport Company, 2401 North 13th St. The building is owned by Paul Abler, of Norfolk.
Upon arrival, the Norfolk Fire Division said firefighters encountered heavy smoke coming from the building. After entering the building, fire crews were able to get the fire on the west end of the structure under control within 15 minutes. The fire division said fire crews remained on the scene for several hours working on cleanup and overhaul.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Norfolk Fire Marshall.
