'Where is the outrage?'
Posted: Friday, August 08, 2008
STORM LAKE, Iowa -- Congressman Steve (He's done it again) King is doing what the citizens and taxpayers of his district expect him to be doing. He is in Washington, along with other Republicans, working on legislation to bring down the price of gasoline.
The only problem is the Democrats have left Washington for a month-long vacation. On Aug. 1, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi turned off the lights, microphones and TV camera during debate on an energy bill and left town.
I remember watching Pelosi two years ago during a political speech, asking the American people to elect Democrats. She was asking the American people to help them change Washington. If they were in charge, they would bring down the price of gasoline. Well, the American people fell for that lie. Instead of doing something to make this country more self-sufficient on energy, Pelosi is touring the country promoting her book and the other Democrats are on the campaign trail, evidently more concerned about getting re-elected than helping Americans.
Where is the outrage? Where is the national media? Is the media looking out for the citizens and taxpayers of this country or the party that is in control of Congress? -- Russell Eddie

Meanwhile, we had American troops in a country that had not threatened our national security and the 'president' was busy paying more attention to an intern than he was the issues the country faced. "
