McCain ad disappoints

Posted: Wednesday, August 13, 2008
SIOUX CITY -- I was really sorry to see John McCain's latest ad lumping Barack Obama together with Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Trying to cast Sen. Obama in the same mold as these women? Please. If this ad represents what Sen. McCain's campaign has to offer, I'm disappointed. I respect Sen. Mc Cain's choice to serve both in the military and in Congress, but I think he made a poor choice when he approved the ad.

Sen. Obama graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law School. He taught constitutional law for 12 years. During his Senate term, he has cosponsored legislation with Sens. Richard Lugar, Tom Coburn and Chuck Hagel, all Republicans. He knows how to be bipartisan and even announced recently that he's willing to compromise on offshore drilling if it's a part of a broader energy plan to put American back on track. I know Sen. Obama is qualified to be our next president, and I'm supporting him all the way. -- John Mullin

" PARIAH......

I think it would be great to listen to Obama And Bush have it out. Bushisms verses Obama's uhs and ums..lol...fantastic idea!!! The only problem is that Bush isnt running again so there is no point in bringing Bush into it. If you want we could bring Bill back and he could tell us some stories about interns???? "

" You guys are making fun of Obama and his poor speech the other night?!?!?!

Wow, where was this harsh critique for the past 8 years every time Bush was even thinking of opening his mouth (you can always tell by the constant licking of the lips)? You people are hilarious. "

" JG, name-calling will only get you so far. Unfortunately after eight years of it, the "right-conservatives" have fouled up the country so badly that even they can't con us into getting it to work for twelve.

There is no "life issue"--just a question of low-info of voters being scammed into swallowing the "conservative" con-game because they're been tricked into thinking those nasty liberals are running around killing fetuses.

They have no interest in serious reproductive health issues, because exploiting them is the only reason they're still politically viable. And if you haven't got wise to that yet, don't worry, enough people have. "
