SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- The South Sioux City man injured Thursday after his bicycle collided head-on with a car is listed in good condition, Dianne Krier, a spokesperson for Mercy Medical Center, said on Friday.
At around 11 p.m. Thursday authoritiers were called to the intersection of East 14th and B streets where they discovered David Rahn suffering injuries to his forehead and knee.
Investigators said Rahn was riding his bike southbound on the 1300 block of B Street when a northbound car, driven by Amy Vang, 47, Sioux City, pulled into Rahn's path as Vang attempted to enter 14th Street.
Police say Vang was cited for careless driving and failure to yield.
The impact sent Rahn over the front of the bike and onto Vang's windshield. Rahn hit the windshield with his forehead, suffered a cut above his left eye and injured his knee.
