Rich are getting richer

SIOUX CITY -- Recently, conservative and admittedly wealthy Bill O’Reilly chastised Barak Obama in his column, saying he supports “income distribution.” Change a couple of terms and I will agree with his contention that redistribution of wealth in this country is out of hand. Let us call this "wealth redistribution." The rich are getting richer at the expense of the rest of us. The top 1 percent (including Mr. O’Reilly) seems only to oppose redistribution of wealth downward, where the rich share wealth to those of us in the middle class. Does he ever consider that those of us NOT in the top tier of the economy are harmed by the redistribution of wealth upward?
We common folk oppose CEOs of large corporations awarding themselves salaries and benefits measured in multi-millions and corporate giants (such as Exxon) gouging the general population with exorbitant prices at the pump, then posting the largest profits ever recorded anywhere. It seems that wealth is being distributed to those already having more than most of us will earn in a lifetime. I contend that Mr. O’Reilly heartily approves of this redistribution of wealth as long as it lines his vaults.
Unbelievably, Mr. O’Reilly compounds the egregiousness of his position by proclaiming himself the arbiter of the “charities” he deigns to approve. This brand of elitism can only be described as arrogance, a trait that Mr. O’Reilly also has in abundance. -- Dennis Rasmussen

I know you love to point to the last two years of a failed democrat controlled congress, and yes, yes they have failed. Yet you seem to forget that for 6 years the Bush rubber stamp GOP Congress gave the demander in chief all he threw a fit for so he could play president at our expense. "
