LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- A day after being ticketed on suspicion of animal neglect, a Lancaster County man received a second animal neglect ticket during a follow-up visit.
Blayne Glissman, who works for the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality, also was ticketed on suspicion of improper disposal of a carcass because several dead animals remained on his land Tuesday.
Chief deputy sheriff Bill Jarrett of Lancaster County says the latest tickets were given to Glissman when the head of the Capital Humane Society and a deputy visited Tuesday to evaluate Glissman's animals and found an ailing dog.
The 54-year-old Glissman was ticketed on suspicion of animal neglect Monday after a deputy found carcasses and sickly sheep, cattle and goats.
