SIOUX CENTER, Iowa -- Paul Smith, 58, of Sioux Center died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Sioux Center. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center. Condolences can be sent at www.MFHonline.com.

Paul Ernest Smith was born April 23, 1950, to Lem and Linda (Reese) Smith in Manchester, Tenn. He married Patricia Lynn Vos on May 31, 1974, at First Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Paul and Patricia lived in Orange City, Iowa, where he enjoyed trucking and later settled in Sioux Center, where he worked at various Northwest Iowa businesses throughout his career. Paul enjoyed playing cards, listening to bluegrass music and his children and grandkids.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Patricia Lynn (Vos) Smith of Sioux Center; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Stefenie Smith of Rock Valley, Iowa, and their four children, Emily, Mitchell, Clara and Paige; a daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Shawn Andringa of Sanborn, Iowa, and their four children, Halle, Morgan, Riely and Thalan; sons, Brent and Nathan Smith of Sioux Center; a sister, Dorothy May; a brother, Harold Smith; and a brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Joann Smith.

The Smith Family prefers memorials to CHEARS Home Health and Hospice of Sioux Center.
