Palin has 'lived change,' not just talked about it

SIOUX CITY -- Most of us live with obvious corruption every day. This corruption could be something so simple, yet stressful, as unfairness at work. We would all like fairness n unless, we are the ones who are receiving that privileged treatment. That is just our day-to-day life.
Now take that same corruption into the marketplace n for instance, the oil industry. For decades we have been at the mercy of the oil industry and their prices. For the past two years, gas and other fuel prices have skyrocketed and affected all of us. Most of us ask, “Why can’t someone do something about this? After all, we pay our elected officials to take care of it!” Sarah Palin asked the same question about corruption n yet, she did something much more. She did something about it. She took on corruption in her community, party and the oil industry. Her focus was doing what is right n not what is easy. She has lived change, not just talked about it.
During Gov. Palin’s speech at the Republican National Convention, we could look into this lady’s eyes and see the conviction and her commitment to implement the change we all want. Since most of us are not willing to stand up and implement change, we need to get out of the way of those who are willing. Like Sarah said, “Only one candidate fought for us n John McCain.”
John and Sarah could be the most historic in simply being the oldest and the first female n but, they’ll do so much more and we all are fortunate to live history. God bless all Of us. -- R. Doc Zortman
